New Vidcast: On Charter in Norway

The April edition of Yachting magazine (on newsstands now!) contains this article that I wrote about a charter aboard the 62-foot Swan sailing yacht Early Purple on Norway's west coast. I met the yacht near the city of Bergen and spent a few days cruising both south of the city, which is filled with uninhabited nooks and coves, as well as north of the city, where Norway's towering fjords begin to come into view.
I shot a number of photographs that the magazine didn't have room to publish, and I also had my video camera with me on the trip. I've combined all of those visuals with music in the following video, which I hope will give you a taste of what you can experience while on a yacht charter vacation in Norway.
As you will see, the weather only cooperated some of the time (it rains more than 200 days of the year, on average, in Bergen), but I think the natural beauty of the place is actually enhanced by the fog that hangs overhead. The scenery is magical, to be sure.
Special thanks to the Nautor Swan charter agency for arranging my trip. You can work with them, or with any reputable charter broker, to book a charter aboard Early Purple in particular or in Norway in general.
